This gemstone varies in colour from gold and orange to a red-brown, and can be transparent or translucent. Sunstone is metallic looking due to sparkling red, orange or green crystalline inclusions of haematite goethite crystals. It is found in Canada, the Oregon USA, India, Norway, and Russia. Sunstone is quite a brittle stone and is not enhanced.
