Fluorite is a mineral that comes in many colours, including purple, colourless, red, pink, yellow, green, blue, black and multicolour. Crystals are transparent to transclucent. It is frequently fluorescent and various varieties show red, blue, green or yellow light. Fluorite is found all around the world. Another variety of fluorite is Blue John, which is purple with bands of white or yellow.
